Abdurrahman Depeler

The eldest of the Depeler brothers, Abdurrahman Depeler was born in Konya in 1982. After graduating from Selcuklu Imam-Hatip High School he received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Selcuk University in 2005.

Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, also a calligrapher, Abdurrahman Depeler began studying several scripts with the renowned master of calligraphy Hüseyin Öksüz. In 2005 Depeler studied Jali thuluth with Davut Bektas in Istanbul and regularly benefits from Mehmed Özçay, Osman Özçay and Ali Toy. He continues to write calligraphic works from his studio in Konya.
